Technical Services Manager - Based Somerset (Ref 667)

Salary c£42k Plus Benefits

Our client, a manufacturer of food ingredients, natural colourings and flavourings based in Somerset, is looking to recruit a Technical Services Manager.

Reporting to the Director you will be the point of contact for specifications, formulations and product uses.

You will be responsible for the quality of the finished product and will champion continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities are:

• Product development with customers and technical support, including lab spray dry developments and trials
• H&S, Food Safety, Environmental systems and management, audits
• Continuous improvement and production efficiencies
• Food certification i.e. Kosher and Halal
• Training and performance of the team

You will have a degree in chemistry, food science or microbiology (or equivalent) and be familiar with BRC and ISO 9000 trained.

You will be someone who has good problem solving skills, likes responsibility and has excellent communication and management skills.
