Business Improvement Engineer - Based Somerset (Ref 668)

Salary £35k Plus Benefits

Our client, a manufacturer of food ingredients, natural colourings and flavourings based in Somerset, is looking to recruit a Business Improvement Engineer.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will ensure the timely and efficient maintenance of equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities are:

• Planning and organising TPN activities
• Fault finding with PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems using logic diagrams
• Maintenance of compressed air systems
• Electrical installation, electrical safety checks and electrical fault diagnostics on a range of machinery and equipment
• Support Engineering Manager and provide cover when required
• Ensure that Food Safety and Security are consistently met at all times
• Manage any statutory inspections, compliance and assist with daily operations.

You will have a HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) and be qualified to work on single and three phase industrial electrical installation and be fully conversant with current electrical regulations.

You will be an excellent communicator both written and oral and a good manager of people.

You must be able to prioritise, tackle problems and be a good project manager.
