The Carling Partnership was founded by Bill and Julie Carling in 2001 to address a need made very clear by the volume of calls being made to the International Brewer’s Guild asking for suggestions for candidates for vacant posts. We initially specialised in brewing, our roots. But we quickly moved into other sectors.
Julie worked with Bill Carling, chief executive of the International Brewers Guild, for 10 years before they co-founded the Carling Partnership. Together they had built an extraordinary network of contacts. Julie is consistently seeking out the brightest talent in the marketplace, and has a hands-on role at some level in every recruitment assignment.
Prior to joining us, Penny was The Director of Human Resources at Burlington Consultants, Head of Financial Recruitment at Premier Personnel and a retained Search Manager at Martin Ward Anderson, bringing different angles and experience to our skill set. We greatly appreciate her tremendous creative and strategic thinking.
Tricia worked in the recruitment industry for over 20 years before specialising in the drinks sector with us. Her cross-industry experience ensures that The Carling Partnership is able to look beyond the boundaries of the drinks industry to guarantee it screens and recruits the very best candidates from a broad sector within the business community.
Prior to joining us, Tanya spent 7 years in advertising before she fell into recruitment 8 years ago. Over those years she’s gained experience across a niche market within Engineering and most recently IT and was keen to apply her skills to the Drinks Industry. Her consultative approach and friendly manner have helped her to identify the very best of sourcing good quality candidates, whilst also having the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within her growing network.
Before joining us, Laurence spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a Sales/Office Manager and more recently as an HR/Recruitment Advisor. She supports our recruitment team with their searches, manages our candidate database, drafts and oversees the vacancies on our website, and organises international event attendance.
