Director of Sales - Wine & Beer (Bahrain) - (Ref: 1311)

 

 

Our client, a leading importer, distributor and retailer of alcoholic beverages is recruiting for a high performing Director of Sales to lead the on-trade sales team to develop strong relationships with customer and principal partners with a focus on growing revenue, profitability and market share.  

The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of sales success in the alcoholic beverage industry and be visionary with strong leadership and team management skills. We require a demonstrated team player with the ability to effectively execute strategic plans and manage the P&L. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement the on-trade sales strategy in accordance with overall business objectives
  • Provide leadership to the on-trade sales team. Set a clearly defined vision and establish performance goals for the team that are focused on exceeding revenue, profit, performance and distribution targets
  • Establish & build customer relationships to retain and maximize the revenue earning potential of all accounts
  • Liaise and work closely with the marketing department to execute campaigns, monitor industry trends and ensure that the on-trade sales team have the appropriate knowledge, tools and materials to meet their objectives
  • Budget forecasting and management
  • Target new customers and sales opportunities, initiate action plans to approach and secure new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a strong work relationship with internal teams ensuring integrated approach to principals and customers
  • Production of detailed sales reports to inform on-trade and wider business strategy. Hosting of a weekly update session with key stakeholders
  • Analyse customer, company, market, industry and financial data to identify potential issues or opportunities and reposition strategies / devise actionable insights accordingly

  • Strong negotiator with the ability to present effectively and close deals
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills
