Packaging Team Leader (London, UK) - (Ref: 1264)

 

 

Our client is a well-known leading brewery who is looking to recruit a Packaging Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that packaging operations across all pack types (keg, can and bottle) are completed safely, to the highest quality and on time. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety, housekeeping and quality standards and procedures are adhered to at all times. 
  • General cleaning & housekeeping; you must maintain a clean environment for the production of beer
  • Comply with all govt. regulations required in food production facilities
  • Plan daily packaging operations and assist with activities to ensure production plan is met.  Work with the Brewing Team Leaders and Packaging Manager to ensure beer is available as required for production is completed to plan
  • Execute all packaging operations as required to ensure production is completed to plan.  Troubleshoot and assist with breakdowns where necessary
  • Lead the Packaging Shifts to ensure that the team is fully skilled to complete packaging operations safely, accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Manage packaging materials and utilities usage to minimise losses
  • Represent the company at external events and be a proud ambassador for the Brewery and the beers made
  • Understand and assist with operations at both breweries in London to help ensure consistency across both sites
  • Assist with projects and be an active member of continuous improvement teams as necessary 

Skills, experience and attributes:

  • Some experience in a fast-paced production/packaging environment.  Working knowledge of beverage packaging operations and a hands-on plant aptitude a must
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building and communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable attitude to travel and shift work essential
  • Do-it-now approach to work required
  • Relevant technical degree (e.g. science, brewing, engineering) an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A passion for the Brewing Industry
