Regional Sales Manager Northern Europe (Homebased within EU) - (Ref: 1194)



Our client is the Business Unit of a major French group dedicated to the development and marketing of yeasts and yeast products for industries relating to beer, wine, spirits and any other potable alcohol.

As part of their development, they are recruiting a Regional Sales Manager – Northern Europe who will report directly to the Sales Manager for Europe.

The successful candidate can be homebased within the EU with frequent travel within Northern Europe. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Meet sales development objectives, by leveraging and developing the existing distribution network and/or identifying new distributors/customers
  • Provide technical, sales and marketing support to customers and prospects (presentations, testing, technical advice, training, etc.)
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, conferences
  • Help with preparing technical datasheets, presentations and publications
  • Conduct market and sector-based studies into product potential, competition and specific characteristics, and maintain network of professionals, specialists, R&D experts, etc.
  • Work with in-house support teams to ensure best service when processing customers' orders
  • Ensure that any customer complaints are duly handled; in connection with technical and quality department
  • Propose, implement and track an annual sales and marketing budget and corresponding action plan for the relevant segments and markets
  • Compile regular activity reports for the Reporting Manager 

Skills, experience and attributes:

  • Qualified in food/agricultural engineering with specific experience in fermentation processes
  • Between 3 and 5 years' experience in a technical, sales or marketing position in a similar domain, ideally in international B2B business
  • Keen interest in the culture used in brewing and eager to promote that use
  • Able to communicate fluently in English and use Office tools effectively
  • Pragmatic, responsive, inquisitive and open-minded
  • Attentive to market and customer needs, confident in submitting proposals and able to create and maintain commercial relationships in different cultural contexts
  • Ability to convince others and show commitment to profits will be vital assets in this role
