International Regulatory Affairs Manager

Our client provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide. The practical application of technical excellence lies at the heart of all that they do and is supported by their industry-leading facilities, expertise and knowledge.

From analysis and testing and operational support to knowledge management, all their activities are built on an extensive programme of research and innovation steered by industry to ensure maximum commercial relevance.

They provide services to companies all along the supply chain, but offer discounts, access to expert advice and other benefits for those that come into membership. Many of their clients are major blue-chip companies and household names.

They are now looking to recruit an International Regulatory Affairs Manager who will be responsible for providing international regulatory support to the food and drink industry and leading a team of international regulatory affairs advisors. A further and exciting part of the role will be working in collaboration with the commercial team to lead the strategy to develop and grow the regulatory affairs business across all areas of the department.

 

Skills, experience and attributes:

  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant area
  • An extensive knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, policy or enforcement setting, ideally in food and drink
  • Language skills essential, fluency and ability to read and interpret food law in non-English speaking countries
  • Demonstrated and substantial track record of delivering advice and training on international food law
  • Proven and substantial track record of the successful line management of staff and delivery of projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enterprising and commercially aware
  • A fluent and persuasive communicator
  • The ability to master complex detail
  • Work accurately and to tight deadlines, with an eye for detail
  • Enterprising and innovative
  • Can do, enthusiastic and friendly
  • Experience and understanding of commercial and business development
