Contract Sales Manager - Brewing

Field based Midlands /South, UK ref: 1455

Our client is a well-established regional craft brewer based in the South East and is now looking for a Contract Sales Manager to manage and develop sales of contract brewing and packaging with key partners, maximising profitability for the company.

They will also be responsible for attracting new business so they need to have the right personality and contacts to be able to sell the brewery’s capabilities to other brewers.

The ideal candidate will already be extremely connected within the brewing trade and have an excellent  knowledge of the technical brewing process.

Skills, experience and attributes:

  • Very strong knowledge of the beer industry, beers and beer making
  • Highly commercial and entrepreneurial
  • An excellent negotiator with sales prospecting abilities
  • Highly analytical with good MS Office skills especially Excel
  • Customer support skills
  • Driven and results orientated with a desire to achieve
  • A problem solver with great attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with the ability to speak to others in the business at all levels and deal with queries from external parties e.g. suppliers
  • Have experience of selling contract brewing to breweries preferable but not essential
  • Have relationships with key contacts within the trade preferable but not essential
