Our client is a global key player in yeasts and fermentation solutions for the brewing, wine and spirits industries. They sell through a network of distributors and directly to industrial customers.
They are about to establish an Academy, being both an applied research centre and a service centre with a R&D team primarily, but also with a marketing and sales team. It will be composed of a technical hall in which applied research will be conducted for a number of fermented beverages with the most modern equipment focused on fermentation technology; microbiology, physico-chemical and sensory labs, warehouses (cold and temperature controlled); and a reception centre with hosting areas and meeting rooms for education purpose.
They are now looking to recruit an Academy Manager who will be responsible for the Academy team and will be in charge of recruiting and growing the team.
The ideal candidate will be an Engineer (Food Science/Brewer, Electro/Mechanical) or equivalent, he/she will have significant experience in beverage pilot plant management or any beverage or food production environments. A significant experience in Craft Brewery Management would be ideal. Solid expertise in project management and team management is desired for this role.
The Academy Manager will have a natural sense of leadership, pragmatism with strong organisational skills, discipline, structure, and excellent communication/presentation skills.
Fluency in English is essential; ideally bilingual English-French.
Passion for fermented beverages is essential.
