Production Brewer

Our client, a large innovative craft brewery on the rise, is looking to recruit a Production Brewer who will ensure the beer is produced to the highest quality at all times and will cover a wide range of brewing and cellaring tasks including; the production of wort, its fermentation and conditioning in line with quality control and production targets.

The Production Brewer will be accountable for carrying out daily brew house and cellaring duties on a fully automated brew house and cellar, adhering to quality management systems at all times using quality assurance and quality control procedures to ensure consistent production. He/she will be capable enough to be the most senior person on site if required.

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work as they will be required to work on a 24-hour shift system basis, including weekends.

Skills, experience and attributes:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ brewing experience (desirable)
  • IBD General Certificate in Brewing, Brewing MSc, Food Science or Chemical engineering (desirable)
  • Have a thorough understanding of the brewing process, equipment and techniques that allows autonomous working and decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to deliver brewing team KPIs
  • Confidence to be the most senior member on shift if required
  • Willing to work on a 24-hour basis
  • Positive and committed attitude to work
