SYSTEMS COORDINATOR

Our client, a global company with some of the best brewers in the world, aims to enrich consumer experiences through innovation, high-quality service and an exceptional portfolio of premium beer, ale and cider brands. They are now looking to recruit a Systems Coordinator based in London, who will be responsible for developing and writing an ISO 45001 OHS Management System and supplementary policies and arrangements for the business to enable consistent OHS across the business and ensure full compliance to relevant legislation.

Key purpose
To develop and write an ISO 45001 OHS Management System and supplementary policies and arrangements for the business to enable consistent OHS across the business and ensure full compliance to relevant legislation.
To coordinate the management system across all sites and combine the OHS arrangements into 1 aligned management system.
Provide first line specialist support and advice on all ISO 45001 elements to the business matters to managers and colleagues ensuring compliance with legislation and policy.
Provide awareness training to key stakeholders on ISO 45001

Key accountabilities
The ISO 45001 Systems Coordinator is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities
• Review OHS Policy to align with ISO45001
• To develop the SMS for all ISO 45001 clauses of the standard
• To have a SMS that is compliant to ISO 45001
• Create and Internal Audit and Inspection programme that is consistent across all sites.
• Plan and implement the migration to a fully integrated management system encompassing the ISO standards that the company requires, ensure that this aligns to and supports the achievement of the company objective
• Provide support to the company in the development of management competences to deliver the objectives of the company
• Provide support to the company in delivering projects on time and to cost
• Plan and implement the transition to ISO45001
• Advise SLT on the compliance requirements of the 45001 standards
• Assist SLT and staff to action compliance with the 45001 standards
• Create and Internal Audit program to ensure compliance is maintained and aligned with the company’s mission and strategic objectives

You will be based out of London with the requirement to visit all sites in the UK network so you will also be able to work remotely too.

Experience required & Key attributes of the successful person
• Qualified as ISO auditor
• Working Experience of Implementing 45001 standards
• Full understanding of Management Systems and continuous improvement processes
• Ability to work with staff at all levels from Directors to Shop Floor
• Good analytical and process mapping skills Ability to teach, coach and support staff to achieve the MS objectives
• NEBOSH Diploma (NVQ level 5 equivalent) or evidence working towards it.
• Sound technical Health and Safety knowledge with detailed understanding of HS Legislation and practical implementation at an operational level.
• Demonstrable compliance to legislation and use of problem-solving skills / personal judgement as well as policy adherence to make optimum business decision.
• Significant exposure to large FMCG or multiple site operations.
• Ideally 5 years’ experience in a HSE role and can demonstrate improvements in the HSE culture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently but also collaboratively with managers and project teams.
• Ability to successfully manage and prioritise own workload.
• Understanding of ISO Management systems and how this interacts with all areas of the business
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to influence colleagues to ensure that they behave in a safe and responsible manner.
• Experience with support and coaching at all levels
• Previous experience of working with ISO45001
• Experience of successful cross functional working and stakeholder management
