MARKETING MANAGER

United Kingdom – Hybrid WFH and City Office ref: 1652

Our client, one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing the brand proposition, managing communication and trade marketing activity and developing integrated business plans with distributors to achieve commercial goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales and Marketing
• Achieve clarity, consistency and effective communication of brand values.
• Manage all communication in line with brand positioning and strategy to build awareness and equity.
• Develop and deliver clear marketing objectives.
• Work with Head of Commercial and CEO to deliver Brand Plans for all markets, integrated into the budget
• Work with distribution network to ensure delivery of agreed brand plans
• Produce monthly marketing reports and distribute to stakeholders
• Write distributor communication documents including product release updates, product sheets, and item specifications

Trade Marketing
• Work with Retailer Category Managers and buyers to plan profitable promotional activity
• Develop trade activity calendars to ensure key purchase periods are maximised (Christmas, Father’s Day, National holidays)
• Design promotions with third party distributors to maximise sales
• Deliver calendar of trade shows and events for maximum return
• Support product sampling and trade show activity
• Support Visitor Centre with developing POS tools and activations

eCommerce and B2C Sales
• Ensure that DTC offers are aligned to brand guidelines

Public Relations
• Manage external public relations companies.
• Maintain stocks of marketing materials.
• Develop a knowledge base of information which has been approved by the CEO for general dissemination to external parties.
• Provide information to external parties regarding products and business in a timely and positive manner.

Cost Control and Budget
• Manage costs within budget or as agreed.
• Justify marketing costs and measure ROI.

Quality
• Commit to ensuring that our products meet the high standards expected of our brands.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry related requirements for all marketing / brand activities.

Occupational Health, Safety and Environment
• Ensure that the wellbeing of yourself, all staff, customers, visitors plus the community and the environment is prioritised.
