Our client, a leading independent drinks expert and the creator of a range of great-tasting alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager. The main purpose of this pivotal role is to source, procure and contract all elements to ensure all products are produced efficiently and cost effectively by third-party manufacturing partners located in the UK and Europe.
The role will suit a loyal, career-minded person who thrives on a broad portfolio of interesting work, liaising with a mix of both internal and external stakeholders.
Role Description
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs
• Development and improvement of Service Level Agreements.
• Responsibility for both direct and indirect spend
• Purchasing of office equipment, IT, phones annual contract and vehicles
• Manage insurance policies and lead additions and renewals
• Purchasing budgetary control.
• Working with senior managers across the business to assist in defining the purchasing function and making any necessary improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
• Drinks industry experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within an Office Manager / Facilities & Purchasing Manager role
• CIPS qualified (desirable or working towards this qualification)
• Fast paced FMCG manufacturing experience – Food / Beverage
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal with a wide group of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong negotiation and provider liaison ability.
• An organised and methodical approach to working.
