SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Europe (preferably France) ref: 1760

Our client is a large brewery based in Africa. They are looking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to be based in Europe (preferably France), who is familiar with the European beverage market, especially in relation to African-themed products. The successful candidate will be a primary point of contact for customers, introducing and promoting products and implementing effective sales strategies to drive product adoption to meet sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate Sales Outreach: Be the primary point of contact for channel customers, introducing and promoting our products. Implement effective sales strategies to drive product adoption and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Route to Market (RtM) Partner: Work closely with our RtM partner to facilitate the last mile logistics, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery to customers.
  • Diverse Sales Channel Management: Navigate diverse sales channels, including online platforms, African convenience stores, restaurants, bars, and events. Tailor sales approaches to suit the unique requirements of each channel.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish strong relationships with African restaurants, bars, and other potential sales outlets in larger European cities. Conduct periodic visits to Bars and Restaurants to build rapport, ensure product availability, and promote our brand.
  • Event Participation and Management: Leverage events, festivals, and themed occasions to connect with the target audience. Manage brand visibility during events, build relationships, and ensure the successful promotion of our products.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative/Business Development Manager preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the European beverage market, especially in relation to African-themed products.
  • Fluency in French and English

 

Requirements:

  • Creative and can-do mentality, strong self-starting and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong connection in the African Diaspora Network in France
  • Availability to travel periodically for sales visits and events.
  • Proficiency in relevant sales and CRM software.
